What we do

How we remove water

Extraction is the first step; drying is what makes it last.

  1. Make sure the source is stopped

And that the area is safe to work in.

  2. Extract standing water

From carpet, pad, hard floors and concrete.

  3. Find where else it went

Moisture readings on walls, floors and the rooms around it.

  4. Remove what can’t dry

Soaked pad and materials that won’t dry in place.

  5. Start drying

Air movers and dehumidifiers set right after extraction.

  6. Document

Photos and readings from the first visit.

Finished basement after a sump pump failure

What happened
The sump pump failed and water spread across a carpeted, finished basement.
What we found
Wet carpet and pad along the walls of the finished space.
What we did
We pulled back the carpet, removed the soaked pad and set up air movers along the walls with a dehumidifier running.
Outcome
The basement was dried with the carpet pulled back so air could reach the floor underneath.

Insurance

Water removal and insurance

Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to stop further damage, which is what extraction does.

  • We document the loss from the first visit.
  • We prepare restoration estimates where appropriate.
  • We work with your adjuster.

Coverage depends on your policy and the cause, and your insurance company decides. We can’t promise what’s covered, but we make sure the damage is clearly documented.

Common questions

Straight answers. If your situation is different, call and describe it.

What are your hours?

We answer the phone 7 AM–9 PM, every day, including weekends. Form requests get a call back during those hours.

Should I try to remove the water myself?

Small amounts on bare concrete or hard floors can be mopped up, as long as nothing electrical is in the water. Soaked carpet, pad or water across a room needs extraction equipment.

Should I call my insurance company first?

If water is still spreading, deal with that first; most policies expect it. Then report the claim. We document from the first visit.

Does all the wet carpet have to go?

Not always. Carpet wet with clean water can often be dried and saved. The pad is commonly replaced.

What happens after the water is out?

Drying equipment runs for several days while we take readings. Once it’s dry, we can help with any repairs.
